AOTS will merge with Japan Overseas Development Corporation (JODC) on March 30, 2012

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS).

On January 18, 2012, AOTS received approval from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to merge with Japan Overseas Development Corporation (JODC) on March 30, 2012.

Following the merger, the organization will be named The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA).

HIDA will use the domestic and international human networks developed by both organizations to organically develop AOTS training programs for overseas industrial engineers and managers and JODC experts dispatch programs from Japan. The merger will also help the operations of both organizations to run more efficiently and effectively. We ask for your continual cooperation and support as we transition to this new organization.

Those involved in AOTS training programs or JODC experts dispatch programs can continue to contact AOTS or JODC as you have before.
