Participation Requirements for Management Training Courses

Applicants should satisfy the following basic requirements as well as specific requirements stipulated for the respective training program:

  1. Applicants should be citizens and residents of developing countries or regions.
  2. Applicants should be university graduates or have equivalent professional experience.
  3. Applicants should be, in principle, between 25 and 60 years of age.
  4. Applicants should have a sufficient working knowledge of the course language, i.e., English for courses in English.
  5. Applicants should be physically and mentally fit to undergo an intensive training program in Japan.
  6. Applicants should possess a clear awareness of the managerial situation in their own organization and submit a report on
    managerial problems that they are facing at the time of application for the program.
  7. AOTS ex-participants who have recently been awarded an AOTS Scholarship and participated in an AOTS training program in Japan
    are not entitled to apply for any program which starts within six months (183 days) after they have returned home from Japan.
  8. Ex-participants of a Management Training Program can not apply for the same program again.
  9. Applicants should not be students, in the armed forces or working for a military-related industry.
